In July, we were honored and blessed to host our very first team from Denmark. Among the group were many past volunteers not only of Emmanuel but other missions in Honduras.
They were only a team of nineteen, but they came with such excitement and enthusiasm and connected with the children immediately.

Their focus during the 10 days of their stay was to make a CD of our children singing, teaching the children new songs but also including songs we sing in church on Sundays here at Emmanuel. The recording was led by Mads Granum, a professional musician who had never taken on the challenge before of producing a CD. There was also a live band who were all team members playing the instruments such as the guitar, piano, drums and so on. The vocals were all our children selected by the staff who chose the ones they knew would enjoy the experience and work well in the recording of the CD. They all worked together many hours a day to make this CD sound as professional as possible. It was long, hard work for the team and our children, but they all enjoyed every moment. By the end, relationships and bonds had been made, lives had been touched and changed, and memories were made that will last a lifetime.

The CD came together beautifully, but the best part of the whole experience was when the Holy Spirit moved during a sweet time of prayer the last day of recording. All who were involved in the making of the CD were gathered in the church along with some of our staff. Some of our children began to pray for the members of the team. They were so thankful and blessed to of had this experience but most importantly, they were thankful for the time with the team and how much they knew these people from so far away loved them and cared for them. During this time, tears were flowing from every eye present in the church. People on the team who had never experienced the presence of God could not deny His presence that day. How amazing our God is to bring a team here from the other side of the world to invest so much time and energy into something our children will remember and cherish forever.

Felipe, one of our older children featured on the CD through solo and testimony, says: "I am thankful for this amazing experience. My heart was touched and I know Jesus was working in my life through these team members. I appreciate how they treated me and I want to thank them".
If you are interested in purchasing a CD, please contact us here at Emmanuel. Cds will be available by the end of November just in time for Christmas.
