In April of this year, a group from Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in Andrews, North Carolina led by Steve Coleman, came to the children' home on their third visit to Emmanuel. Snowbird is a Christian youth camp that has a huge burden for the children at Emmanuel as well as a vision.

On this trip, they brought a small group of 14 and with their time, they focused greatly on building new relationships with the children as well as growing the friendships already built on previous trips. For three nights, they had a bible study that included all the girls 14 and older. In this time, they prayed for every girl individually after washing each girls feet. Other activities were planned throughout the week for each yard/house, but their goal was to include every child in an activity during the week. Some of the activities included a slip-n-slide, water balloon slingshot/fight, soccer (which is always a must) and an Easter egg hunt.
Snowbird has a vision and passion to see the older children at Emmanuel grow up in their

relationships with Christ and become Godly leaders and examples here at the children's home as well as when they go into the outside world. Their main focus in the time they spend here is to invest as much time into the older children as they can, encouraging them, challenging them, and teaching them especially by example.
Snowbird really feels like God can use their ministry here at Emmanuel the same way He uses them in the states. They all left here challenged as well and excited to see how God leads in their vision and in their mission at Emmanuel, knowing that God is already changing hearts and lives of children here through their ministry.
