From the Directors' Corner - Sept 2007

The bowl of flour was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah (I Kings 17:16)

Emmanuel was birthed nearly 20 years ago. We have seen the Lord do many miracles. This year has been no different.
With over 420 children under our roofs, we continue to see the Lord move in many ways to ensure His children’s well being. He has used you to provide food, clothing, medicine, homes, education, but most of all He has used you to help provide His love for them through you!
Our prayer is that the Lord will do for you as He did for the widow and her son in I Kings. During a drought, a widow had only enough food to prepare for her and her son to eat and then die. But as she obeyed the word of the Lord through the prophet Elijah preparing him a cake first and then for her and her son, the Lord promised her that the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither the cruse of oil fail, until the Lord sends rain upon the earth. The widow’s supply never ran dry, she provided for the Lord’s prophet and the Lord provided for her and her son.
You have provided for hundreds of the Lords children here at Emmanuel and your needs will always be met; you can never exhaust the riches the Lord has for you and your loved ones. His mercy and grace will last through all your necessities and you will never lack.
Thank you for your giving unto the Lord for these children!
